Leadership Is Action...Not Position!

People respond to good leadership! Period! It is in all aspects of our lives, not just business. A mother is a leader in her home; a son may be leader of a team sport or a daughter the leader of the debate team. A group relies on the person in charge to actually lead them to success. A true leader is highly ethical, honest and respected.

In our society we have leaders and followers. Are we born to one or the other? No! Can you hone your leadership skills? Absolutely!

The leaders that I admire seem to have all of these in place:

a)They think BIG! They dont put a ceiling in place. Instead, no limit is set as to how big or how much better something can be.
b)The goals are firmly set in place and the eye does not come off of it.
c)They make known to all involved the final product that they are all going for, example, if you sell widgets, it takes x number of widgets to be affluent, or you want to win that football game and ultimately the title. Know what youre going for.
d)They can get compliance to orders.
e)When goals are met they set new goals or raise the bar.

People will follow your lead willingly if you are honest, ethical, if you are consistent and treat them with respect. Rewarding someone when a job is well done is always appreciated. A good leader will also off load someone who consistently hinders the group who is just not a team player.

You can improve your own self- respect and become an inspiration to others. How great is that!

Making it Good in E-Commerce

As everyone is gearing up to electronic transactions, many who have taken the plunge have overlooked some of the essential details of electronic commerce. While it is true that joining the bandwagon is the wisest thing to do in this electronic age that we have, but taking extra cautions before indulging yourself and your money into it will not be bad at all. You may want to learn some few extra tips on how you can make it good in E-commerce.

-You may not be able to compete with the giant e-commerce sites, but to the least you can make yours a bit working on the competitive side. Begin with your keywords. It is better that you research your keyword usage so that you can avoid paying much in advertising a not so search engine friendly. Nevertheless, it is to be remembered, too, that choosing the very generic keywords can lead you to a low traffic, therefore low probable conversion rates.

-Make a good and efficient advertisement copy. In doing your ad copy, you just have to stick with what you are actually advertising the truth! Make sure that what you are advertising primarily describes what you are selling or producing, no more, no less!

-Make sure that you do not deceive your clients with any undesirable or hidden charges. By doing this, you piss off your clients and expect a non-returning one. Just ensure that everything is presented transparently. Show all things that clients would like to know they deserve that!

Establish or Repair Credit with A Secured Credit Card

There are a few key things that you should never mess up in life. If youre an immigrant, then you should never mess up you immigration status. When youre young and few things are more important than your freedom, then you dont want to do anything that can result in your driver license getting suspended or revoked. And, of course, if you were not born into a very rich family, then you really dont want to mess up your credit rating. Thankfully, for those who make one or more credit-related mistakes, there are ways to mend a damaged credit history, like acquiring a secured credit card.

With secured credit cards, your credit line is determined by the amount of money that you use to secure the card. Generally speaking, your credit line will range from 50% to 100% of the amount of money you deposit into a special savings account setup by the secured credit card company. When you make regular, timely payments to a secured credit card account, you are working to repair or establish your credit standing.

Having a damaged credit rating is bad, but having no credit rating can be just as bad in the eyes of many creditors. Thats why moderate use of a secured credit card is a good idea for folks whove never had credit extended to them like high school or college students -- because the spending activity is very likely to be reported to at least one of the three major credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian or Equifax.)

Since a secured credit card is backed by a special savings account it can be much easier to obtain than a standard credit card. However, there are some disadvantages to secured credit cards that you should be aware of:

Disadvantages of Secured Credit Cards

  • With a secured credit card, annual membership, over-the-limit and late payment fees are often higher than with standard credit cards. Therefore, if you choose to get a secured card, you should make a serious effort to make all payments on time every time and, if possible, pay off the entire balance in full at the end of each and every month.

  • Credit bureaus, banks and other lenders know the difference between a secured card and a standard credit card, so if you keep a secured credit card for too long it may limit your ability to grow and mature as a consumer of credit. Bottom line: once your credit rating improves, you should payoff and cancel any secured credit card accounts you have open, then apply for a standard credit card from a reputable bank like American Express, Citi, Chase, Discover or the Bank of America.

  • You have to stay vigilant to protect yourself from secured credit card scams. There are subprime lenders out there that prey on people who have credit problems. Be sure to thoroughly research a company before signing up for a secured credit card offer.
